Mike Makler asked:

Most people would love to own a McDonalds franchise. They understand that even with the huge investment of Hundreds of thousands of Dollars they will make a very comfortable annual wage. I haven’t seen a McDonalds go out of business have you?

A franchise like McDonalds is simply a cookie cutter business that anyone who follows a specified formula can and will make money. The drawback of course is you have to have a large amount of capital. Then you have to go to Hamburger University and then you are finally in business unless of course your application for a Franchise is denied.

Then after you are up an running you are generally required to buy all your supplies from the franchise and pay a monthly Franchise fee. Companies like McDonalds, Subway, Quiznos and others wouldn’t continue to use this model if it weren’t successful
Just do a Google search on Franchise and you will find 100′s if not 1000s of these franchises in every product and service category imaginable.

The right MLM is as good or not better then one of these high priced franchises. You can get started for $500 or less. Your monthly costs are often $100 a month or less and your potential profits are virtually unlimited.

Finding the Right MLM can be a huge problem. I recommend finding an MLM that markets financial services like Life Insurance to Middle America. You also need an MLM that will allow you to succeed simply by being a producer. That’s right you shouldn’t have to be required to get your friends, neighbors, family and church members involved. Of course if you do decide to build a team you should be rewarded very well for building a small team of 3 to 10 people.

While it is possible to get a license and sell life insurance as an independent agent without the support of Franchise (AKA MLM) the right franchise can really help you skyrocket your income by providing training, Leads, Web Sites and great products all for a very affordable start up cost

Michael Russell asked:

Eating vegetarian is not as difficult as it used to be. Clearly, many restaurants have recognized that there is a market for vegetarian food and they have added vegetarian options to their menus.

Many restaurants have recognized that they may lose business if they do not provide vegetarian options to their customers. For example, if a group of eight friends plans to go to dinner and one of the friends is vegetarian, the group may forego a restaurant if it does not offer vegetarian options.

This would mean the loss of eight potential customers. Carrying vegetarian options, on the other hand, could win the continued business of these and many other people. Many restaurants have recognized this.

We all know fast food is not the healthiest, but sometimes there’s nowhere else to go late at night when you just want a quick bite. There are several fast food chains that offer vegetarian options.

Burger King sells the BK Veggie, which is available at almost every one of their restaurants. If ordered without mayonnaise, the BK Veggie is vegan.

McDonalds has a McVeggie, which is not widely available. Consumers, however, should go to McDonalds and ask for the McVeggie to be placed on the menu. The McVeggie is vegan.

At Denny’s vegetarians may substitute any burger with a Boca Burger patty. This provides a lot of options, since Denny’s has a fairly wide selection of burgers. The burgers can be eaten with a side of fries, or a side of onion rings.

As far as subs go, Subway has a couple vegetarian options. The Veggie sub can be made with whole wheat bread (NOTE: Subway’s whole wheat bread contains honey, which some vegans choose not to eat), fresh vegetables and olive oil and vinegar. Subway also has a veggie patty (like a meat patty without the meat). The veggie patty is not vegan, though it is vegetarian.

Quiznos Subs also has a vegetarian sub. Customers have the options of veggies, mushrooms, cheese, oregano, lettuce and guacamole. The sub is toasted just like all Quiznos subs are. This sub is vegan or vegetarian with cheese.

Other popular restaurant chains carry vegetarian options.

Cheesecake factory, for example, has: angel hair pasta with garlic and marinara sauce, an eggplant sandwich and a portabello burger. Other options on the menu may be adapted to be vegetarian. Just talk to the server.

PF Changs Chinese bistro also has several vegetarian options. They serve seasoned tofu lettuce wraps for appetizers, spring rolls (may contain eggs), coconut curry vegetable, as well as other vegetarian plates.

Other than these chains, there are many other options for vegetarians at restaurants. Some of the most vegetarian friendly restaurant types include: Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican and Italian.

Vegetarian activists recognize the value in ordering vegetarian options from restaurants. By ordering these options, consumers are essentially showing the restaurants that there is a demand for vegetarian food. If the vegetarian options at a restaurant go unpurchased, restaurants may phase them out and that can be one step backwards for the vegetarian movement.

This was a pretty basic Schindler with MT fixtures, probably a 300A at that. It had a pretty big cab, as it appears that they use this as a service/freight elevator (and I’ve seen them roll carts onto this), though the fire exit plan shows they have freight/service elevators in the store. I put the elevator in independent service with the OC01 key briefly when we got to 1 to make sure the car didn’t go down to C, as there was obviously a call down to that floor (the indicator lit up down on 1, which would only happen if there were a call on C), and C is an employee level, so I didn’t want to risk being thrown out for videotaping. I took the elevator out of independent service IMMEDIATELY after it started moving back up. Strange thing was, on one ride, the floor passing chimes remained off after I put the elevator back in normal service as if the elevator were still in independent service, which, I guess, is how Schindler’s fine and dandy controllers work. Do not flame me for using the keys or putting the elevator in IS, as it was only done very briefly and to avoid being seen by employees and possibly thrown out of the store. If you do, your comment will be removed and you will be blocked, no questions asked. Also, I dropped the camera in this video and closed the lens cover, causing it to shut off, one of the only bad features with the Sony T-Series cameras. I made another video and spliced the fail video and the other one together, which is why you see two videos in …

Kathryn Whittaker asked:

Perhaps you have been taking far too many antacids these days and you are wondering if there is possibly an alternative to popping the fat little white pills to solve your heartburn problem. Indeed, there is a much more sensible solution to acid reflux/heartburn, and it all starts with what you eat.

People are not born with acid reflux; this condition occurs as a result of lifestyle choices including – diet, exercise, and stress levels. So, it does stand to reason that if diet is one of the causes of acid reflux, then it is more than likely that choosing your foods wisely can also alleviate it as well.

In order to reduce or eliminate acid reflux you are going to want to stay clear of fatty and acidic foods in general, as these tend to increase acid secretion for digestion. For example, you’ll want to steer clear of all citrus fruits (and juices) like oranges, lemons, and tomatoes.

In addition, you will want to avoid high fat steaks (where the meat has a marbled appearance), butter, pasta, sour cream, ice cream, mashed potatoes, chicken nuggets, buffalo wings – I think you can see where we are going here. As well, you will need to avoid coffee (decaffeinated or regular), all forms of alcohol (except in very small doses), and all forms of tea. Coffee in particular has been shown to increase activity in the esophagus, with studies showing that it is not caffeine in particular that causes it, but other ingredients found in the beans (no matter which way they are roasted), can be a strong contributor.

Don’t fall victim to the old wives tale of milk calming the stomach down after a big meal. While it may help you in the short term for a bit, over the long haul it is going to cause more damage by causing reflux while you are sleeping.

The list of foods that will reduce the occurrence of acid reflux, are not surprisingly, reflective of every nutritionist’s guide to sensible eating. Suggestions being; apples, bananas, baked potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, fish, eggs (whites only), goat or feta cheese (you want to avoid all other cheeses), rice cakes, and whole wheat bread.

At the end of the day, what you should be aiming for is to reduce an overabundance of acid secretion, steering clear of foods that require more enzymes to aid in digestion.

Food intake is not about what you eat, however, you will also want to change your eating style or habits as well, as this also contributes to either a regular amount of acid secretion, or an abundance of it, which will result in acid reflux. Eating little but often every two-three hours, rather than purging on big meals is the ideal. Eating a lot of food at one time is tough on your digestion system, so it overcompensates by secreting more acid in an attempt to funnel the food through your body.

I realize it can seem a little restrictive at first making changes to your diet. However you can either continue to make unwise diet choices like steak, potato chips, alcohol and coffee and chug antacids to counteract the acid reflux, or you can change your lifestyle just a bit and reduce the occurrence of heartburn, and likely feel a whole lot better overall.

Once you have your acid reflux symptoms under control you will likely find you can reintroduce some items back into your diet, only in moderation, without experiencing any painful side effects. Keeping a food diary and your reaction to what you consume should give you an idea of which foods are the worst triggers for you.

Jake Brussell asked:

In recent times people tend to have sandwich or pizza instead of heavy meal; no particular reason; but in general, taste of these foods are excellent. All these food items are categorized under fast food items; not only due to the reason these are prepared fast but also they are eaten in less time. You find enough time to eat a sandwich or pizza in your lunch time or in break. Healthy food items are preferred more than anything else in this world. Since most of these companies are franchise based they are under taken by a big name and it assures to get hygienic food items all the time.

In North America toasted subs are very popular. People prefer it it either in baked or toasted form or in un-toasted form. Whatever it may be ultimately the processing of both these food items are similar in all respect. Keeping this craze in mind companies are opening outlets in different parts of the world. If we take an example of Quiznos, they started their business in North America now they have opened up their shops in UK, Ireland, South Korea, and Middle East and in many places. You have to agree with me that up-growing market is making franchise interested in opening a shop under such giants.

From general people’s point of view fast food items like sandwich or pizza are costly. Yes, I agree they are. It also depends on the ingredients used in their preparation. However, they are costly if you consider very cheap ingredients. Yet, people never lose interest in these items; do you know the reason? It is availability of coupon codes.

Companies open promotional offers and they make coupons available online and offline; in newspaper, magazines and many more places. If you consider whole online market you just need to type company name and what type of coupon you want; may it be a printable coupon or just discount coupon code that you can use while purchasing from online stores. Things are as simple as that. Now if you are looking for Quiznos coupons printable type that keyword in search and bar and different search results will come in front of you. Choose some of these sites and decide which order earns you most. Print that coupon and straight away go to store and claim your discount amount. You are done.

If you take my suggestion choose a place that offers you authentic coupon codes like authentic pizza coupons, sub coupons etc. It is never an easy task. There are so many companies are there to offer you discount products. In my signature follow the link and find an excellent online store that always offers you best discount coupons in the market.

Larry Holmes asked:

“Son, you ought to get you some of that mail box money. There’s nothing like it. You just go out to the mail box and get. It’s the only way to go. You’ll never get rich working for the other fella’.”

I can hear those words from my dad like it was yesterday. What my dad used to call “mail box money” is what sophisticated investors today call “passive income.” It’s money you don’t have to work for. You get it whether your work or not. If you work, it’s because you choose to; not because you have to.

You can’t get passive income as an employee. You also can’t get it as a self-employed person. You work hard for that kind of money. You provide a service and you get paid. If you don’t provide the service, you don’t get paid. It’s as simple as that.

No, what you want is the kind of money that comes in like clockwork even if you choose not to work. The kind of money you get as a business owner or an investor. Oh, I guess you could also win the lottery or inherit it. But assuming that’s not going to happen, you’re going to have to do it as a business owner and/or an investor.

Now when I talk about business owners, I’m not talking about self-employed people who happen to be in business for themselves. You know, like doctors, lawyers, accountants, and the like. They’re just trading their services for money. It may be a lot of money, but it’s not passive income. The only way they can get paid is to provide the service.

A true business owner can leave the business for months on end and still get paid because they either have hired capable people to run the business or they have the kind of business that generates income without the business owner having to work for it every day.

And when I talk about investors I’m talking about accumulating enough in investments so that the income from those investments cover your expenses. Stocks, bonds, income-producing real estate or even assets that don’t generate income themselves but appreciate enough in value so they can eventually be put into income-producing investments would qualify.

In fact, the best definition of financial freedom is having enough passive income to equal your expenses. The day that happens is the day you’re financially free. It means you can live where you want to live, go where you want to go, do what you want to do, and do it when you want to do it. Why not? You’re free!

Here’s the good news — you can probably become financially free in a few years if you really want to; certainly less than ten years. And I don’t care what your present circumstances are. You can do it.
So where do you start?

First of all, you must get out of debt. If you’re in debt you’re providing the bank with passive income. And if it’s credit card debt, you’re supporting the bank with passive income at a very high interest rate. I hope they’re sending you a thank you note every once in awhile because you’re working hard for them.

Second, you have to build some assets in investments. Probably, the only way you’re going to be able to do that is by saving more money. And the quickest way to save more money is to cut expenses. When you spend money on something you don’t need — or maybe even want — you’re not only spending those dollars, you’re spending the future value of those dollars.
That’s because if you saved a dollar instead of spending it, that dollar would be worth a lot more to you than a dollar in the future due to the magic of compounding over time. But once you’ve spent it, it’s gone forever.

Third, you should start a business. Even if you’re happily and gainfully employed it’s a good idea to start a business that can give you some passive income in the future. And in the information age, you can do that with very little up front cash.

Copyright 2005
